General FAQs

  • What is the GMG Loyalty Program?

    &U is a customer loyalty program designed to reward you for shopping across our participating brands — Geant, Monoprix, Franprix and Aswaaq. You earn cashback on your purchases, access exclusive offers, and enjoy benefits as a valued member.

  • How do I join the GMG Loyalty Program?

    Customers can become members as per below:

    • At the Store:

      • In-store communication featuring a QR code will be placed to enable customers to easily download the app.

    • Via Mobile App:

      • Download the &U App from the App Store (iOS) or Google Play Store (Android).

      • Sign up using your mobile number if you are a new member.

      • Complete your profile and enjoy the benefits.

      • Log in if you are an existing member (WAFA members) with your mobile number.

  • Is the GMG Loyalty Program free?

    Yes

  • How can customers track their points (receipt, app, SMS, email)?

    App


Earning Points

  • How do I earn GMG points? / How do customers earn points (every AED spent, category-based, promos)?

    1% of the total bill

  • How many points do I earn per dirham spent?

    It’s in AED

  • Can I earn points for purchases made with cash and card?

    Both

  • When and how are points credited (instantly, end of day)?

    Instantly

  • How can you check the cashback balance?

    • Open the &U app

    • You will see your cashback dashboard where consolidated cashback is shown

    • In the profile page, transaction history will be available where you can see transaction level earn and burn

    • Transaction history can be filtered brand wise, date wise and transaction type

  • How can you redeem your cashback?

    • At checkout, inform the cashier that you'd like to redeem your cashback

    • Show your app barcode or provide your registered mobile number

    • OTP will be triggered to your registered mobile number

    • Cashback will be applied as a tender on your bill

  • What is the validity of cashback?

    • Cashback is valid for 12 months from the date of issuance

    • Unused cashback will expire automatically after that

  • What happens if you return a product?

    • If you earned cashback on a returned item, it must be reversed

    • If cashback is redeemed on the purchase, that cashback will be credited back

    • If any goods are exchanged the cashback will be adjusted accordingly:

      • For exchange with same price: no impact

      • Higher price: cashback will be adjusted accordingly


Redeeming Points

  • How do customers redeem (partial payment, full payment, vouchers/discounts)?

    Yes

  • Can I use my points to pay for part of a purchase?

    Yes

  • Can customer use one &U account for all brands?

    Yes, One &U account allows you to earn and redeem cashback across all Everyday goods vertical — Geant, Monoprix, Franprix and Aswaaq stores

  • Can customer transfer cashback to someone else?

    No, cashback is non-transferable and can only be used by the registered member

  • Are there any fees to join &U?

    No. Membership is free

  • Will &U customer receive other promotional offers/Discounts?

    Yes, &U members will be able to enjoy all promotional offers as decided by brand/store. The nature of the offers are based on seasonality, differ as per long term, short term, etc.

  • Is there an internet connection required to use the &U app?

    • If the customer is a member and has already logged in, they will still be able to access their barcode for earning and redeeming cashback, even without an internet connection

    • They won't be able to see the transaction history or rest of the items without the internet


Other FAQs

  • Can customer use the same mobile number for family purchases?

    Yes, but cashback will accumulate in the same account registered against the mobile number. If each family member wants their own cashback, they should register separately with their mobile numbers.

  • What if customer wants to change their mobile number?

    Mobile number updates are not permitted. Customers must register as new members if they wish to use a different mobile number.

  • Which language can the app be used in?

    App is available in both Arabic & English versions

  • Can customer spend available cashback balance outside of the registered country?

    No, customer can only earn and redeem in the registered country which is UAE now

  • Can customer use non-GCC/non-UAE number to register?

    No, you need a UAE mobile to register

  • How can customer delete &U account?

    Go to the profile page in the app, scroll down and there will be option for delete the account

  • What happens if points don’t get credited — where does the customer service agent raise it?

    POC will be provided
